“Fresher Party” in any college is an event which every student eagerly awaits from the time of their admissions.The 16th of September 2017 was masked as a memorable day in the life of every fresher of 2017-18 batch at Global Technical Campus.The Fresher’s day was a day that was fulfilled with excitement joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter, and happiness.The theme of the fresher was “Retro”.the celebration started sharp at 5:30 PM at the central ground of the Global Technical Campus with the Pilak of our director Dr.Renu Joshi followed by the lamp lighting ceremony.The programme an stage was officially started by the Ganesh Vandana performed by Ritu Patil of 2nd year, which was truly invoking and mesmerizing.Further, there was a floral welcome of director of GIT, Dr.Renu Joshi by Dr.Bhawna Mathur.The programme was further proceeded by the inspirational speech of Dr.Renu Joshi.The cultural presentation then took off to a scintillating start, the students staged various programs like skit, dance and singing performances.The highlight of the event was the Ramp by the 1-year students on the basis of which Mr and Miss Fresher were selected.After various rounds of the ramp, the final decision was taken by the jury including our judge Dr. Varsha Gupta:-Prashant Chaudhary(Mr.Fresher) and Bhumika Sharma(Miss Fresher).The skit on social awareness was truly invoking and taught us how misusing of power can spoil our society.It was truly inspiring for all the spectators Parth Jindal, who played a very strong role was awarded as the best actor.
There were three singing performances, all the singers were truly hard working and their voice made the environment more cheerful.From these performances, we found our best singer, Yash Khurana, who had a magical voice.
The event was being taken the heights by the dance performances, the one was a fork and the other one was western.All the dancer were so energetic, that they hellfire a stage was awarded as best dancer.
That was not the end of the event yet.There was a Bhangra group of the 2nd year which made all the spectators get up from their seats and dance on their beats.
The program was gracely ended by the vote of thanks by Dr.Bhawna Mathur and the price distribution by all the dignitaries.
The event was choreographed by the 2nd year students.The show was a success only because of the commendable co-ordination among the 1st and 2nd-year students which is “SAMANVAYA”. The head -ordinators of the 3rd year were the backbone of the event.The event was covered by the photography and videography club WE-3 productions.
