Jigyasa’17

Global Technical Campus, organized three days event “JIGYASA-‘17 (National Level Techno-Management Fest)” from 22-09-2017 to 24-09-2017. Students over 100 institutions across the country participated in different technical events.  Shri Imran Khan, an Indian web & Application developer from Alwar, inaugurated the Tech-Fest with the message to students about the importance of Tech-fest in research and development to help the progress of human kinds. Dr. Renu Joshi (Director, GIT) and Mr. Manoj Mahla (Executive Director) emphasized on the role of technical events in personality development of students. The Techno-fest includes the events viz. Innovation, Entrepreneur café, Robo-Floor, Developers Evolution, LAN-Games, Brain-o-Mania, Cyberworld, Literary-Arena and gaming adda etc.

The Inaugural ceremony was ended over with the vote of thanks by the Convener Mr. Raghavendra Patidar.

The following were the highlights of the techno-fest:

1. Robo-floor: In this event participant has to design a manual or wireless Robot which can fight or which is new as per era. In this event, there are the different programmes like Dirt Race, Line follower, Water Rocket, Robo-soccer, and Robowar etc.

2.  Lan games: This arena comprised of games like Counter Strike, NFS, Tekken, FIFA and Road Rash for girls.

3. Brain-o-Mania: This arena comprised of events which involved coding, database management and CAD techniques.

4. Literary Arena: Events involving Indian history, literature, English grammar and phonetics were involved in this arena.

5. Cyber World: This arena tested the bluffing skills of students through events like Bluff Master, Dalal street and Junkyard.

6. Innovations (Young Scientist Contest): The Seventh edition of the young scientist contest was a great success where students from different colleges took part to exhibit their engineering projects.

Jigyasa 2017, the inagural function was held on 22nd of September, 2017 at the college premises. Once the participants and students had assembled at GIT, Auditorium, the program began with the chief guest, Shri Imran Khan being welcomed with flowers. Shri. Imran Khan is an Indian web developer from Alwar, Rajasthan. He is a mathematics teacher in the Sanskrit Education Department and a self taught computer programmer. He has developed over 52 educational mobile applications and more than a 100 websites. He gained prominence after being mentioned by the P.M of India, Narendra Modi, in a speech at Wembley Stadium, London, in November 2015. Modi said, “My India is in Imran Khan of Alwar.” Last but not least he donated all his 52 apps to ministry of HRD. Director Renu Joshi welcomed the audience and participants and encouraged active participation in the three days Technical fiesta. After the speech of Director, Shri Imran Khan delivered a motivational speech to the students. He gave the definition of Jigyasa which means curiosity among students. He said that if this curiosity is taken seriously by the students then they can definitely achieve the success and through this word Jigyasa we can know how much importance this programme has. He also talks about the competition and the creativity which is now developing among the students. He also said that god has created us and has gifted us some specific quality and we should appreciate this and should move towards that directions which is made for us. He shared his personal experiences with students. He said that in such types of event chief guest are invited so that they can share their experiences and can also suggest that how they removed the obstacles which came towards their success. According to him we should not only gain the knowledge but should implement it in our real life. He said that we should not do copy and paste work. We should always try to create our own work. And we should not work for our own self but should work for human society. He talks about the engineering students and said that they are not common students but they are expert in their subjects. They are full of innovative ideas and have curiosity to learn more and more and this quality makes them different from others. He also gave several examples of innovations and inspired the students with his wonderful speech.

After his speech Director Executive Mr. Mahla came on stage to share his views. He congratulates the students for organizing this event and wishes them good luck. He said that this type of event gives new opportunity to the students to show their innovative ideas and creativity and boost their morale.

After that there were several announcements by the Director Dr. Renu Joshi for the students. She shares these ideas among students. She said that there is an opportunity by government of rajas than for the students to show their caliber. She said that DST has announced so many a fund for the students in which 30 lakhs has been announced for rural business technology Incubator. She said that we are applying for this fund for our students. She suggested the students to apply personally for the fund of Rs 10 lakhs so that they can get fund for their innovative ideas and if any student have an innovative idea which he wants to execute then also he can apply and for that 1 lakh rupees will be provide by the government of rajasthan. And women and girls student can also apply for women entrepreneur innovative ideas. She ended her speech by congratulating students for this event.

The programme ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Raghvendra Patidar Convener-Jigyasa.

The Programme continue on second day with more enthusiastic and more participation of students. On 23-09-17 the events continue with the second round that started on day one 22-9-17 with more number of gatherings. The initiation of several other competitions in Soft-arena, Literary arena etc. On the same day, final round of events such as Robo-Floor and Robo- soccer was completed and results was awaited for the next day.

The Fourth edition of the young scientist contest was a great success on second day of JIGYASA-17 ,where students from different colleges & Schools took part to exhibit their engineering projects.

The highlight of the day was the fun events such as Scripture and  Hunkar  for the students of various colleges taking part in the tech-fest organized by Girls committee.

24-9-17 was the final day of JIGYASA’17 which was all about excitement, fun and the feeling of joy for victorious students in various competitions that took place through the duration of three days in the tech-fest. Students exhibited their talents to win trophies for their respective colleges and in script their names in the history of Jigyasa.

The certificates and prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions during the valedictory function. The highlight of the function was the “Battle of Bands” competition which was a music competition of a total of four bands fighting for the winner’s trophy and a handsome cash prize given away by the Convener Mr. Raghavendra Patidar and judge of the competition Mr.Kailash. , a classical musician and owner of a Jaipur based musical Band named Kavya’s Band. The program ended with a mesmerizing performance by Mr. Kailash displaying his experience and talent on his Gitar. Mr. Ragvendra Patidar, Convener of JIGYASA ’15 presents a memento to the Hon’ble chief guest Mr. Kailash. At last Dr.Ranjan Upadhyay give vote of thanks to all Participants, Event-Coordinators and winners.
